Home Visiting Services

Babies do not come with instruction manuals, but home visiting can help! Early Childhood Home Visiting provides support, encouragement, and resources for families during one of the most important times in a child’s life.

Pregnancy and the first five years are important for a child’s growth, learning, and development.  Home Visiting is a free, voluntary service that helps eligible parents and families with young children through trained professionals who can help during their child’s earliest years.

Home Visitors can answer questions and share information about child development. They can also help families find healthcare, housing and other community resources.

Whether you are expecting a baby, have questions about your child’s development, or are simply looking for extra parenting support - home visiting is a program that is here for you!

Each year, home visiting programs in Illinois serve approximately 20,000 families.
